  • Will I get a hard card or eCard?
    American Heart Association, American Red Cross, and HSI/ASHI upon completion of your training within 24-48 hours will receive an email with a link or you will get an actual eCard. Please let us know if you would like a physical card. Physical cards are available at an additional cost.
  • I work in a Healthcare Facility (Dental, HomeHealth, Hospital, Clinic) what course should I take?
    Depending on your organization but if you work at a hospital or home health as a RN, BSN, MD, DDS, DMD, DO, etc. American Heart Association Basic Life Support. Some organizations accept HSI/ASHI Basic Life Support or American Red Cross's Basic Life Support Course also. Verify with your organization.
  • How long does the training last?
    Depends on the course you are taking. The majority of the classes last from two (2) to four (4) hours depending on the curriculum used. We do our best to train to standard and not time. Here at Safety First CPR & First Aid Training, we will gladly extend the class and/or assist whomever may need any extra assistance.
  • I am a Home Daycare Provider, what training do you recommend I need to take?
    HSI/ASHI CPR/AED Adult/Pediatric with Pediatric First Aid (recommended) or American Red Cross CPR/AED and First Aid or American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR and First Aid
  • I am a Virginia Department of Education teacher with Fairfax County, Prince William County, Stafford County, etc., what course do I need to meet certification requirements?
    Every person seeking initial licensure or renewal of a license shall provide evidence of completion of certification or training in emergency first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and the use of automated external defibrillators. The certification or training program shall (i) be based on the current national evidence-based emergency cardiovascular care guidelines for cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the use of an automated external defibrillator, such as a program developed by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross, and (ii) include hands-on practice of the skills necessary to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Our American Heart Association and American Red Cross Courses in BLS or CPR/AED/First Aid meet these guidelines.
  • How do I know the availability and schedule a training?
    Please visit our website for booking and/or any scheduling request. If unable to use feature, go to "CONTACT US" and submit your request and we will contact you shortly within less than 24 hours. For faster response, you can also send us a text with your name, email address, and which course you are interested in taking.
  • How do I pay?
    A deposit of $15 is required to secure your training spot for the date and time requested. The remainder will be due on the day of the course. We accept all forms of payment to include Cash, Check, Credit Card, Paypal, or Zelle.
  • Is the training in English or Spanish?
    We will let you know the first available class in English or Spanish when booking.
  • Do you do Offsite Classes?
    Yes, we can travel to your home or business at no additional cost. We will only charge a travel fee if training is required to start at 0700 and it will take us over 2 hours to reach your location. A minimum of three (3) students is required for us to conduct training at your location.
  • How big are the in-person site at your training location?
    We can have from one (1) up to six (6) students.
  • Is there parking available?
    Yes, there is street parking. Do not block ANY driveway please.
